HAPPY BIRTHDAY
THE BOYS ARE TWO MONTHS OLD!!!!!
We just got back from the pedi office for the boys two month check-up! They are doing great and just gaining weight. They are both 10 pounds and some ounces and 21 inches long. Thier percentiles are 10-25% on weight and 3% on height and they said that was normal for them being premature. We now know the boys are bleeders.... whne getting thier shots they both bled, John got his blanket bloody and Brandon squirted blood... :-)
Not much else to report. Brandon is going on prevacid with John but John gets to only take the axid once a day now. We are still on the preemie formula (BOO, it is so hard to find and does not come in big batches) for atleast two more months. However, we can now try and drop a night time feeding. They want us to keep feeding them every three hours during the day but can go up to six hours at night if the boys can make it. We hope to make it to four hours if not the full six. Please pray that we can make it six hours, it would help mommy and daddy out so much!!!
I'll upload some 2 months pics soon! I am off to take a nap

mom of the year award
NOT!!
John has not been feeling so great the past few weeks. We are not sure if it is gas, colic, reflux or all of the above but he has been one fussy baby and looks like he is in pain. So a couple of weeks ago I call the pedi and ask what to do. They put him on Axid .5ml, medication for reflux and to help with the burning if formula decides to come back up. It help with the spit up but all the other symptoms were still there so as any mother would do with a baby in pain I call the pedi once again. She then puts him on prevacid solutabs 3ml.... which I hear are great. I was excited and thankful!! With the Axid I got a syringe and was using that to put the medication in John's mouth. I thought well why not use the same syringe for the pevacid. So for the past six days I have been using the same syringe and thought all things were going well other than John still being really fussy so we thought it had to be gas because he was on medication for reflux!!! So we started massaging his tummy, doing the bicycle move with his legs to try and get some of the gas out. It has been helping but he still looks in pain... so is it colic? I was wondering this myself until last night. We accidentally through out the syringe. Brian goes and gets another one from Walgreens and I realize that I have been giving John .3ml of prevacid instead of 3ml. OH MY GOSH, I am an idiot and feel horibile for this little innocent guy who could of maybe felt better a while ago. Needless to say I am going to start giving him the right amount today. Still doesn't make me feel any better that I caught it, I should never of made the mistake! I will let you know of the right amount of medicine starts to help soon!

My due date
We have had such an adventure with them learning how to change dirty diapers, put onies on without them screaming, learning how to get them to calm down and rest, going on car rides, seeing them grin for no reason and just watching them grow and be babies. We have also dealt with some trials the past few weeks with John getting reflux and deciding to be really fussy from 9pm to midnight and keeping mommy and daddy up and Brandon waiting to have a BM every 4 to 5 days. BUT it has been such joy having them home and falling in love with them more and more each day. I still can not believe that Brian and I are parents to TWO little beautiful boys.
God is good!
Oh, we were at the pedi yesterday (everything is fine) but Brandon got weighed and he is a whopping 9 pounds... less that two weeks ago he was just over 7. He is a fatty and I think his brother is right up there with him. We go to our offical 2 month check up on the 27th and they should be atleast 10 pounds!!!

Update on John
The pedi called and put John on prevacid solutabs along with his axcid to help with his tummy issues. We can not change formula yet as both boys are still on high calorie formula because they were born early. Hopefully that will change at their next appointment with the pedi on the 27th (thier 2 month birthday)!
John seems to be doing somewhat better... still fussy mostly at night from 6pm to midnight. But is not as bad as it was.... well the last couple of nights have been alittle better. We will see how the rest fo the week goes. I pray the prevacid solutabs help and he doesn't have to get on anything else and that we can change formula SOON!
Brandon is still just hanging out. Praying he starts having regular BM's so he can be comfortable!
Mom and Dad are still trying to adjust to not sleeping as much and we pray that the pedi will let the boys go to every four hours feeds rather than three hour feeds at the next appointment. That would be AWESOME.
Thank you all for your support and prayers... they really do help :-)

A little frustrating
Sorry it has been awhile since I have last posted.
Life has gotten a little crazy lately! John has become our high maintaince baby. He is very fussy most of the day now. I thought it was reflux, we got on some Rx meds and they seem to help the spit up but I am not convinced that he has reflux now because the rest of the symptoms are still there. He screams, arches his back and is really hard to console while eating and for about an hour after if not all the way to his next feeding. I think it could be the formula he is on and that makes me sad that I am not breast feeding because I know he would not have this issue if it is the formula. I don't know if it is colic BUT he does cry-scream for atleast three hours in a row at night (mostly from 9pm-2am). He sleeps well during the day but does scream and cry and arch his back while feeding. I am calling the pedi tomorrow morning to see if we can try another formula or soy or see what else we can try to help this little guy out. He looks like he is in such pain and it makes me so sad and frustrated.
On the other hand... don't know if I should say it because I don't want to jinx it BUT Brandon is doing great. Eats and sleeps but does not POOP! We need him to have a bowel movement!! Other than that he is a pretty easy guy to take care of. He loves to be held and loves his pacifer, just very chill like his daddy!
Please pray that we figure out what is going on with John and that the pedi is pro-active so we can get him feeling better.
Please pray that Brandon has a bowel movement... its been awhile!
Please pray that Brian and I can get some much needed rest and stay positive and not get to frustrated!!!
**Update**
Brandon pooed during his noon feeding. Praise God!
The nurse from the pedi office called and said we needed to call tomorrow to talk to Dr. Taylor to see if she wants to change formula or up his reflux meds... I am praying its changing his formula just to try it out and see if it helps!
