4 months

Brandon and John are 4 months old.

We had our 4 month check-up today and things went very well! Exept for shot time... they cried soooo hard.

Brandon's stats:
weight- 14 pounds 10 ounces... in the 50%
height- 23 1/2 inches... in the 3%

John's stats:
weight- 14 pounds 6 ounces... in the 50%
height- 23 inches... in the 3%

We get to start feeding them every 4 hours now and we get to start cereal! After we establish that they are eating good and like the cereal we will introduce fruit and veggies. Life is getting ready to get exciting at feeding time. We are still on preemie formula for at least two more months. Not too bad since we are reducing the feedings. They are still having some issues with constipation but we are doing karo syrup so it should work itself out. So all in all it was a great visit and we are excited about this new step. We will start the cereal on Friday so daddy can be here to do it. I will post a video of it.... should be funny!

First Night

Not swaddled! IT WAS SO GOOD!

We put them in their crib about 9:20pm and they both of course moved around a whole bunch but Brandon found his thumb and fell asleep and John just needed a little extra cuddling and fell asleep. Around 12:45am Brandon woke up and needed to be held for about 10-20 minutes (not too bad) and John was still asleep until I accidentally woke him up and all I needed to do was put my hand on him and he calmed down and fell back asleep... get this.... they slept till 3:30am! WOW!!
We then woke them again at 6am per our schedule and of course they only ate about an ounce to two ounces then fell asleep again! John slept til 7:15am... his norm and Brandon slept till 8am! Pretty great first night of not swaddling. They seem to really like being free!

Baptism

Swaddle

NEED HELP!!!!

John has decided he likes to get out of his swaddle in the middle of the night. It wakes him up and he start to get frustrated and cry so Brian usually gets up and swaddles him again.... isn't he nice!
So my question is.... how do we wean the boys off of being swaddled at night but not waking themselves up by getting startled by their arms?

Please let me know what you did.... we need help!

I need some advise on digital cameras.... my birthday just passes and my camera is about to die! I need a new camera but I want one that can freeze the boys when they are moving so it is not blurry.... and of course really great quality!

Any ideas???

Brandon has decided that he loves his thumb. He can hold it in his mouth for anywhere from 5-10 minutes and falls asleep with it in his mouth. He has yet to start playing with toys but I guess that is coming soon!

My 7 Things:
1. I cant whistle.... I have tried everything but can't manage to make a sound.

2. I eat a sweet every day no matter how I feel about my body image.

3. Now that I am a mother I can not stand to have any laundry not done. I do the boys laundry daily. I can't let the boys go laying on dirty blankets or have smelly clothes...can I?

4. I stay in my p.j.'s every day unless I go out which is not very often. I love my p.j.'s!!!

5. My mom is sitting next to me... since I have someone with me daily... she says I don't clean my floors or make my bed, which I should be doing daily since I have dogs that shed.

6. My little Brandon looks like my brother Brandon when he was a baby.... I did pretty good on picking his name. Maybe if I can get a picture scanned of BIG Brandon I will post it so everyone can see how crazy it is.
