Half Baked

Updated:

Fetal development in pregnancy week 20:

This week you're carrying about 10.5 inches of solid baby-miracle-goodness! Their little delicates bones continue to ossify and toughen while their itsy bitsy finger and toe pads are finishing up. Your little monkey now has teeth buds, although they’re hidden beneath the gum line. And finally! Their limbs have reached their relative proportions—no more alien baby! Their cute pink lips are more defined, and might be helping out in a bit of prenatal thumb-sucking. If you have a little boy, then their tiny testes are descending, though they have not yet passed the abdominal wall. What’s more, eyelashes and eyebrows are also visible. At this point, your little one really looks like a miniature baby—and we do mean miniature as your little swimmer currently weighs a mere eighth of their final birth weight. With half the pregnancy behind you, the most significant gains are yet to come!

We painted the baby rooms, I will post a picture of both of them soon. They look pretty good!

OB Check-up

Yesterday was my OB check up. It was pretty uneventful which I know is good. My Bp is good, urine is fine, and cervix still looking good. The boys seem to be doing well. They are both on the right side of my stomach sort of on top of each other. While getting the heartbeats, one kept moving so it took awhile. The boys heartbeats are 158 and 160. The one thing that I was in shock about was my weight. So lets recap: I gained 3 pounds between a visit and 4 pounds between another visit. It has been 5 weeks since I saw my OB and my weight gain was 9 POUNDS.... HOLLY GEEZ! She called it a growth spurt. I think its all the sweets I eat! Anyways, I have gain 16 pounds in all over 20 weeks (I will be 20 weeks tomorrow). So all in all not too bad!
I also read up on the neonatologist report and it looked good. Both placentas are posteior, which is good and it said that everything looked normal and we had no reason for concern. I go back for another ultrasound next friday.
The one thing that caught me off guard was at the end of the visit she said "see you in two weeks." Hhhhmmmm..... am I already starting two week visits? Not too worried about it just did not except to hear that so soon. Maybe she just wants to see me after the ultrasound.
So all in all... a very good visit!

Registering

Oh what a wonderful joy it was to register..... JUST KIDDING.
I don't know what I thought registering for baby items would be like but I have to say it is not my favorite part of being pregnant. Now while it was neat to see things take shape like knowing what the nurseries will look like (yes we are having two nurseries) and thinking about how much fun bath time will be with the boys it was still totally over whelming.
Brian, my mother-in-law, my mom and I went around noon to Babies R Us and it took us about 30-45 minutes just to pick out cribs. We look at gliders, mattresses, bedding.... everything under the sun!!! I have to admit we did register for alot of things and I know we will need all of it but it seems like it is never ending, even just for new borns. TWO of everything! After Babies R Us, we headed to Target where we registered for most of the easy stuff - blankets, bibs, onies, and toys. By 4pm I was totally exhausted and ready to go home. But of course we got home and I had to go play online and look at all the items we registered for and second guessed myself on alot and even registered for more!
We are now ready to clean and paint the boys rooms and let the nurseries start taking shape!

I've been tagged!

I've been tagged! Thanks Jessica

The Rules:

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.

2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.

4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose people to get tagged and list their names.

5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Random Facts about me:

I love evening soap operas ( The O.C., Gossip Girl, Gilmore Girls, The Girls Next Door, Smallville... I love the CW.)

I don't like to drink cold water, only room temp.

I hate when people play or touch my hair.

I chew my nails and cuticles daily, especially if I get anxious.

I am truly scared to be a mother to twins.

I can't stand a dirty house but I don't like to clean... hmmmm

I wished I liked sushi.

When there are left overs in my fridge, I will throw out the tupper ware they are in because I dont want to open them if they have been in there for more than a day.... it might smell nasty!

** Alright- Kelly, Dana and Nancy.... you are tagged

18 week belly pic

almost a week late but here it is.... oh and this is at the end of the night after a wedding so I think i look a tad bit bigger than I am!

NEW YORK CITY!!!

All I can say is WOW....

New York City was awesome. I have to say we had a great time but were very busy the entire time we were there. That city really does not slow down.

Monday we went to see the Empire State Building. It was cool but I was expecting much more. I guess when I saw Sleepless in Seattle the Empire State Building looked much bigger. The observation deck was quite small but there were ALOT of people there as well.
** Brian for some reason loved taking pictures of the Crysler Building!

We were only staying a few blocks away from Grand Central Station. It was great because I didn't have to walk far to get to the subway which was great as walking far distances was killing me!

We took the subway to Central Park, one of my favorite times in New York. It was beautiful and since we did not want to walk the whole thing we got a buggy ride which was great!

Do you recognize this fountain? if you put an apartment complex behind it?????
It is the Friends fountain!!!

This is the John Lennon Memorial in Central Park.
Monday night we went to the Yankees game. CourtneyS, please forgive me!! We went to just see the stadium before they shut it down! It was pretty cool, I have to admit! Plus I had the first hot dog in 4 months and it was the best hot dog EVER!

Monday was great but very long. I was glad to get to bed and get ready for Tuesday, which was just as wonderful and fun.

Tuesday we woke up and took the subway to the Statue of Liberty. If you ever go to New York, going to the Statue of Liberty will take at the very least two hours.

After taking the very back from Liberty Island we decided to go eat in Little Italy. We went to this little place called Lombardi's. It was so good. We had some great pizza and had a good time walking around. After we ate we went by one of my brothers good friends bike shop in New York. Of course with our luck he was out of town but here is the evidence that we were there....

We decided to go down to ground zero. I don't know what I expected to see but when you go to ground zero you wont see much. everything is covered by fences and everything is under construction. We took some pictures but didn't stay long.

After seeing ground zero we went back to the hotel for some R&R. Tuesday night we went to Broadway! It was awesome and i loved it. We even bought two little baby oneies from the show we went and saw.

Wicked was awesome and so funny. If you ever get a chance to go to broadway... GO. It was so worth it and I loved it. Brian liked it but thought it was alittle long! :-) After Wicked we walked down to Time Square. A must do at night!!!

New York was awesome and Brian and I had a great time. We are so happy to be back home though. Ready to start getting ready for the baby boys! We are going to register and paint both baby rooms soon and can not wait to see them again on Oct. 5th at the next ultrasound appointment!

The Wedding

Brian and I had an awesome time on our vacation. We flew in to Buffalo and met up with some of Brian's college friends. I ended up just staying in that night after the long flight but Brian went to a place called Anchor Bar where the orginal buffalo wing was created!
Friday we went to Canada!!! We went to see Niagra Falls and went to a casino to play around before the rehersal dinner. I got a maternity massage in Niagra and it was great all except the guy would not stop talking through the entire hour.... BLAH!

Niagra was beautiful and we did not get to spend enough time there but it was great to see it and it is an amazing sight!

The wedding in Buffalo was great, very fun and it was great to see Brian and all his old buddies together.

Only look at my face, I was sitting weird and look FAT!!!
