9 months a few days late...

I can not believe that the boys are 9 months old... only 3 months till they are a YEAR OLD. How crazy! I have to start thinking about their birthday party!

Things they are doing:
saying their B's and M's, no real words yet.
holding their own bottle
eating 3rd foods
standing in their cribs
laughing and smiling
sitting in bath seats
loving looking into the mirror
loving being outside
2 nap days (most days)
liking bigger toys
loving the dogs when they lick their hands after a meal
talk to each other, really scream but are truly interacting!
finger foods they have tried include banana, gerber puffs, cherrios, potato, butter beans, crackers and peas (Brandon has taken to them, John has not!)

Brandon is laughing and loving life right now. He is trying so hard to crawl, not there yet but hopefully soon. Tries to pull up all the time. He is talking more and really seems like a happy little guy. He is loving finger foods now.... he is my garbage can :-)
Brandon weighs 20 pounds 13 pounces and is 27 3/4 inches long

John is everywhere and in everything. He has found the doggy door, cords and follows daddy to the bath at bath time. He always wants to be with you and does not like to go to sleep at nap time. It is a struggle to get him down but mom and dad win in the end.
John is 19 pounds 5.9 ounces and 27 1/2 inches long

I really am loving this age, they are so much fun and it has been such a blessing that they learned to hold their bottle. I just can not wait for Brandon to crawl because he sees his brother and wants to be with him getting into everything.

Out of Town

The boys, their grandma and I are off to visit their great grandparents till Sunday. They live in a small town so I will most likely not be able to get online all week. I will post pictures of our trip when we get back!!!

Bath Time

As you can see I am picture happy these days. Here is some pictures of their bath together!!!

Oh John now has 5 teeth and Brandon has three

Catching up

Brandon had his first bought with throw up on Wednesday. We we on our way to restock our fridge and freezer when he threw up everywhere! John has stood up in his crib and fallen over as well.
The boys had their first bath together Thursday in their bath seats.
They started 3rd foods today... they had spaghetti with meat sauce
John is all over the place and we are having to baby proof the house and Brandon is soooo wanting to crawl.

Just an update

We made it through IKE. We are at my parents house who have a generator and of course we had to hook up the computer! So I just wanted to tell you all know we are ok. We lost power around midnight Friday and still have none but we have fans and TV!!! The boys were a little hot so they get to play just in their diapers and are loving it. I have pictures that I will upload later of us hunkering down and some of the weather. Brian went by our house and says the neighborhoods on the way have lots of trees down and power lines are down everywhere. All in all it was not too bad for us. Galveston, Houston and the surrounding areas are messy but TEXANS always survive.
Thank you for all prayers and thoughts.
More to come!

what storm??

The boys want to wish their Uncle Bubba a happy birthday!
They ate the paper before I could take the picture. We dont know about any storm
Oh you mean storm B & J
Were coming to get ya

Hurricane Ike

We are getting ready for Hurricane Ike. At first we thought we would dodge another bullet but it just seems like Ike is inching closer and closer to us. Thank goodness that we live away from the shore line but we will still get lots of rain and wind. This will be very interesting with two 8 month olds. I think we will be heading to my parents house who have a generator and we can at least stay cool. Please pray for everyone in the path of this storm, espcially the elderly and parents with little ones.
Everyone in the area please stay safe!
